The always-fascinating hosts of The Shopping Bags include a segment on backyard grills as they review and test a variety of consumer products for their Father's Day special. They’re taking a close look at Vermont Castings Signature Series grill model VCS3017 with Mica Black lid, grill accessories and the new Vermont Castings Grilling book. This North American show is syndicated nationally in Canada on the W Network and on Lifetime in the U.S.
Honey, We are killing the kids – TLC/BBC New York
This show was looking for an exciting way for a family to cook healthy foods. Naturally, they chose a Vermont Castings grill, so Vermont Castings model VCS3006 is a focal point of the February show. In its first season, Honey we’re Killing the Kids! became one of TLC’s top-rated shows reaching more then 87 million homes in US.

The Great Backyard Giveaway
From July to the end of August, the number one nationally syndicated home improvement radio show – On The House with the Carey Brothers will be mentioning Vermont Castings Signature Series VCS4007 grills and BBQ accessories once each hour for four hours every Saturday.
This show is heard in over 150 US and Canadian markets.
Divine Design with Candice Olsen
This series has garnered national acclaim and number one ratings spots on both HGTV and the W Network. This season, the show will be installing an Inspire Electric.
This particular episode is a room for Sean Morley, formerly with the Pittsburg Steelers during their Super Bowl winning year. The show will be tackling the basement in his Toronto home. His wife Cara is Canadian and has longed for years to have a permanent home here in Canada.
We will let you know when the show airs.
Colin and Justin’s Home Heist (HGTV Canada)
The show will be in high definition (HGTV) with a style more associated with a heist movie than your typical television make-over show.
This is an hour-long formatted show airing weekly in a prime time slot with repeat viewings through the week. This will also be aired in the U.K. & marketed internationally. The focus remains on the "big reveal"- dramatic transformations of everyday homes. Colin and Justin are not the only stars of the show, though, as our furnished rooms will take centre stage. There will be copious beauty shots of all the unique furnishings, fixtures and finishes that combine to create our dramatic interiors. In fact, as this is their largest show yet, HGTV is photographing our homes for an upcoming Canadian magazine as well as a pending book to correspond with the show.
One of the first episodes will feature the Inspire Electric Fireplace with Black surround. Many more product placements with this show will be forthcoming.

ABC’s new Fall TV series – "Reaper"
Reaper is produced by ABC Studios. Michelle Fazekas ("Ed," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"), Tara Butters ("Ed," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"), Mark Gordon ("Grey's Anatomy," "Criminal Minds"), Deb Spera ("Criminal Minds"), Tom Spezialy ("Desperate Housewives") and Kevin Smith ("Clerks," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back") are executive producers. Kevin Smith also directed the pilot for Reaper.
The main characters work in a big box store which will carry CFM’s products. The first few episodes will have the VCS grills and BBQ accessories display stand with plenty of VCS logo boxes on shelves. We will also be sending CFM hearth products for the "winter" episodes.
The show trailers have already started airing on Entertainment Tonight and ABC channels. Airing is set for September 25, 2007 – 9pm. We will let you know which network to watch and confirm the date and time in late August.

Eating Well’s First Annual Grilling Sweepstakes: Tying in with the grilling feature in the May/June issue, we will be hosting our first Annual Grilling Contest. Do your friends huddle inside in fear when you invite them into your back yard?
The three winners receive fabulous Vermont Castings Signature Series grills and accessories. Their entries, telling why they needed help in their back yards, were judged as the most original, funny, entertaining and creative explanations of how they will use their new Signature Series grill to transform their back yards into a Vermont Castings grilling heaven.
The first place prize of a Vermont Castings Signature Series 5 burner grill goes to Linda Bourdage of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada:
When I got a call from Vermont Castings I knew exactly what contest they were speaking of as I do not usually enter contests. I am so glad I did for this one and when I was told I was the grand prize winner I believed it and did not believe it all at the same time.
Not only is the 5 burner grill huge, solid and gorgeous but it has the best features of any BBQ I have ever seen. It is big enough to BBQ for the whole crew and family too.
The night light makes it so nice, especially in Canada when it can be dark at 4 PM in the winter months. The warming drawer and the side burner adds so much flexibility, you won’t need to use the kitchen at all, nice for those hot summer months when the last thing you want is to add heat to the house.
