BBQ Ribs with BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

BBQ Ribs

2 – 12 oz bottles Beer

1/2 cup Orange Juice

5 cloves crushed Garlic

1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes

4 Pork Baby Back ribs each (approx. 6lbs)

BBQ Sauce

2 tablespoons Oil

1 cup Onion, Chopped (approx. 1 each)

2 tablespoons Garlic Chopped

1 Jalapeno pepper each

1 tablespoon Chili Powder

1 teaspoon Black Pepper

1 tablespoon Dry Mustard

4 T Worcestershire Sauce

2 tablespoons Cider Vinegar

2 cups Ketchup

Servings: 8

Directions

BBQ Ribs

Turn your oven to 350 degrees (you also can use the grill on low with the lid shut). Pour the beer into an ovenproof pan large enough to hold the ribs. Place the ribs in the pan. Add the orange juice, and the garlic cloves. Cover with alum foil and place in the oven. Braise for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. You can now prepare the sauce.

BBQ Sauce

On low heat, cook the onion, garlic, jalapeno, with the oil until sweet and tender. Add the chili powder, dry mustard, and pepper. Let cook for 30 more seconds. Add the rest of ingredients and let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes on low heat. (You can blend the sauce once cold or leave chunky). Once the ribs are cooked, remove from the pan and let cool. You are ready to grill now. Start grilling the ribs, frequently brushing on the sauce as you grill. This recipe can be done ahead, and grilled when you are ready to eat. Ready when hot and brown.
